Cuba Avant Garde: Contemporary Cuban Art from The Farber Collection features 58 artworks—painting, photography, sculpture, prints, and mixed media—by more than 40 artists.

The tour is handled through Curatorial Assistance Touring Exhibitions (CATE), a nonprofit organization that creates and circulates innovative exhibitions for museums and art organizations worldwide. Cuba Avant-Garde is expected to tour internationally through 2010. Cuba Avant-Garde will premiere at The Samuel P. Harn Museum, University of Florida, Gainesville, May 29-September 7, 2007. The exhibition will then travel the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota where it will be be on view from Oct. 7 to Dec. 31, 2007.
