Cuba Avant-Garde: Contemporary Cuban Art from the Farber Collection was written by Abelardo G. Mena Chicuri, Curator of International Art at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes ( MNBA ), Havana. It features essays by Magda Gonzalez-Mora Alfonso, a founding curator of the Havana Biennial, and Kerry Oliver-Smith, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art, University Of Florida, Gainesville.
Book is illustrated with 72 full-color plates of works by 42 artists.
